My name is Xiaozhu Hu. I am a PhD student in Division of Integrative Systems and Design, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), under the supervision of Prof. Mingming Fan and Prof. Tristan Braud. I graduated from Pervasive HCI Lab, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University (THU) with a master degree in 2022, supervised by Prof. Chun Yu. Before that, I got my bachelor degree in Industrial Design from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). My current research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) with a particular interest in two areas. Firstly, I am working on enhancing the usability and accessibility of graphical user interfaces by leveraging computational models and interactive techniques. Secondly, I am exploring how pervasive sensing techniques and assistive robots can be used to enhance caring services for older adults.
